Giant Sea Bass Trips Now Sailing

BIG JAMAICA – OFFSHORE SEA BASS SATURDAY REPORT
Another Limit catch of Sea Bass + Some Porgies & Big Blues, Bonito & Triggerfish
Once again, fishing on the offshore wrecks was very good, producing a FULL Boat Limit of Sea Bass up to 5 lbs, along with Jumbo Porgies and some Blues.
Anglers had to work a little harder today, but by the end of the trip everyone caught their limit of Sea Bass, plus some jumbo porgies and some big bluefish. Some fish were taken on jigs and teasers, but bait produced most of the catch again today. We even had a few Bonito & Triggerfish mixed in the catch today.

🎣 OFFSHORE TUNA ACTION ON THE BIG JAMAICA – OCTOBER INTO EARLY NOVEMBER! 🐟
πŸ’₯ GIANT SEA BASS TRIPS START NOVEMBER 7!

Saturday, October 11 Trip Recap:
We made it out just before the storm rolled in and had great conditions all day! The ride out was smooth, and even the ride back (despite increasing winds) was comfortable with the easterly breeze at our stern.
We hit the grounds around 11:30 PM and didn’t have to wait long, the yellowfin tuna were biting right away! 🎯
Nicole Bogan started off the action catching the first, and third fish of the trip.
After landing, the second one, she stepped aside to give the other anglers a chance. Most fish ranged between 40 to 70 lbs, and several anglers reached their limit. We also saw a few skipjacks and false albacore mixed in — not enough to be a nuisance.
We're still working the same area about 70 miles southeast of Brielle, where the squid are thick and the tuna are spread out wide.

Very Good Offshore Tuna Fishing

Very Good Tuna fishing today!
We had very good fishing on the Sunday night trip to the offshore tuna grounds.
There was a number of limit catches of 40 to 70 pound yellowfin tuna.
Bait fishing was the best method on this trip. A few fish were caught on jigs but 4 ounces or less working out bait produced the most bites.

🎣 Wednesday Report – Excellent Bonito Fishing Today!
We didn’t sail yesterday, but the 6:30 AM Bonito Special went out this morning—and the fishing was very good!
Jigs and teasers were the way to go, and everyone onboard caught plenty of fish.

🎣 Excellent Fishing Today – Another Great Day on the Water!
The bluefish action was excellent today, with some mahi-mahi, sea bass, and fluke in the mix.
Fishing started off strong. We explored a few other areas just to see what was around—some spots were slow, but others produced very well.
Everyone easily caught their limit of blues today! We also had sea bass, fluke, and mahi-mahi come over the rail.
🌀️ The outlook looks great for tomorrow and the rest of the weekend!
There's plenty of room on upcoming trips—we’re sailing Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 AM.
πŸŒ™ Night Trips: Depart at 7:30 PM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Our last tuna trip was a slow one. We caught a couple of large yellowfin close to 100 pounds just after first light. We had a few more bites and marked fish from time to time, but they never turned on.
We also hit several lobster pots for mahi-mahi—we saw many fish and caught some but, they weren’t biting like they should. Towards the end of the trip a few Tile Fish also came over the Rail.
I’m expecting much better results on our September 4th 31-hour trip!

Bluefish are Biting & Bonito

Today was another fantastic day on the water! Although the morning started out a bit slow, the action picked up steadily and stayed strong for most of the trip.
🎯 Bluefish Bite is On!
Limits were caught all around the boat, with bluefish ranging from 3 to over 12 pounds plus a couple of bontio.
πŸ† Today’s Pool Winner:
Mike Fess from Caldwell, New Jersey, with a jumbo 14-pound bluefish!
🎣 Jigging continues to be the top method for hooking these fish. If you're thinking about coming out, now is the time to get in on the action!
βš“ After some anglers got their fill of bluefish, they dropped to the bottom and caught Sea Bass. The seabass bite is still open with a one fish limit.

The Bonito are finally starting to show up in our area!
We had a great day on the water—lots of action with mackerel, ling, fluke, sea bass, and then the Bonito invaded the slick. Some anglers landed several Bonito along with their mixed catch.

We’ll be fishing the same area again tomorrow. We’ll be chumming and have spearing on board, but most Bonito were caught on jigs.

Mackerel Madness! Mackerel Are Biting

🎣 Mackerel Madness Continues! 🐟
The mackerel bite was red-hot again today! We were chumming, and everyone on board landed plenty — with some high hooks filling their coolers. Many of our customers love eating mackerel, but they also make top-notch bait for just about anything that swims.
They're fun to catch and provide non-stop action — if you’ve been waiting for a good mackerel run, now’s the time to go!

The Jamaica is sailing at 7:00 AM for Sea Bass on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
We also have a special 4:00 PM trip on Thursday, which is the last day of the Sea Bass season!

Despite some rain and choppy seas, the fishing was excellent!
Everyone on board caught their limit of Sea Bass, plus a few ling.

We had another good day today with mostly limits around the boat plus ling.
We caught fish on every drop with many people catching limits plus plenty of ling.

We did not catch any Striped Bass today, but we had a pretty good day with Ling.

Everyone caught fish today with a high hook around 20.

We had to cancel our Tile trip because was going to be too windy offshore so we aren’t scheduled to sell tomorrow but the Paramount will be sailing at 6:30 AM for ling and cod.

We just received an exciting report from a commercial fishing boat that discovered a large school of Porgies in the area. This is the best report we've had all season, so we're heading there tonight in hopes of a fantastic trip!

The weather looks good. The forecast is for light winds on Saturday and it doesn’t look like they will be increasing till we are back at the dock.

Offshore Giant Sea Bass Fishing Report
Wednesday Recap
We had another outstanding trip today (Wednesday), with fantastic fishing and impressive catches all day long! Every angler on board enjoyed a boat limit of giant sea bass, with weights reaching up to 5.5 pounds. A few porgies and ling added extra variety to the catch.
Trip Highlights:
Pool Winner: Glen Padla (Hillsborough, NJ) with a 5.5-pound giant sea bass
Runner-Up: Lafayette McCaskaskill (Cinnaminson, NJ) with a 5.2-pound giant sea bass
The day started early, anchoring before sunrise, and the action was non-stop. While this season has been excellent, today marked the best trip of the year! With perfect weather and fish on every wreck, everyone reached their limits.

Early Report
It looks good for tonight’s offshore trip.
We got off to a good start this morning. Our first wreck produced a nice shot of Sea Bass up to 4 1/2 pounds, plus some porgies, and a number of Pollock.
It is a little choppy out here today, but not bad. It is supposed to be even nicer tomorrow and we have plenty of space available.
If you’re looking to fill up your freezer with tasty Sea Bass fillets, some Porgies, and maybe a cod or Pollock, tonight is the night.
The Jamaica will sail at 11 PM tonight, Saturday night, November 30, returning approximately 5 PM Sunday.

The big Jamaica will be sailing this weekend for Bonito, albacore, mackerel, and bluefish.
Fishing has been good.
We have been chumming and catching the fish on both Jigs and Bait. Jigs have been the best producer.

We also have Tuna trips sailing this week.
The first trip leaves Sunday night at 9PM returning between 5 and 7 PM Monday.
Next is a 31 hour trip leaving Tuesday morning 7 AM.

Saturday Report - BLUES - BONITO - MACKEREL
Fishing was excellent today from the start to the finish.
We caught bonito, limits of bluefish, and plenty of mackerel, plus Sea Bass.
Everyone went home with Coolers full of fish.
The pool winner was
George Perez from Jackson, New Jersey with a 7 pound bluefish.
It looks good for upcoming trips. There are several areas holding plenty of bluefish, mackerel, and Bonito in close proximity to Brielle.

OFFSHORE TUNA REPORT
We had good action on our offshore tuna trip Monday night, into Tuesday.
Reports from the mid range area we fished last week were not good Monday so, we headed offshore a little further. Nothing happened in the dark, but a little after sunrise, we started to see plenty of life on the surface. There were whales, dolphin, even a few tuna on the surface.
We ran over big schools of Bait with readings of Tuna above and below them.
It was not rough, but it was a little breezy and the drift was fairly quick. The fish were moving so anchoring was not effective. We had to keep moving, and drifting over the schools of Bait and Tuna.
We were chunking, however, they were not interested in our chunks, as all of the fish were caught on Jigs.
150g to 200 g size Jigs were the best.
It did not seem to matter what type, both traditional hammer style jigs, streaker, jigs, and other types produced hits.
It looks good for upcoming trips.
The Jamaica is scheduled to sail offshore every Monday night in July and then, Sunday and Monday nights in August.
Daily trips sail 7:30AM
The rest of the week we will be sailing at 7:30 AM for whatever type of Fishing is best.
Presently ling and Sea Bass has been the best however, bluefish, mackerel, and Bonito should be in our area any day.
If Bonito move into our range in good numbers we also schedule some special trips for them.

Saturday Report
We did not find any bluefish or mackerel today, however, we had a limit of Seabass and we picked at the Ling throughout the day, and even a few whiting.
The pool winner was
Kim Grady from Weatherly, Pa with a jumbo Ling.
It looks good for tomorrow and Monday, the weather looks calm.
Jamaica is sailing at 7:30 AM on Sunday and Monday, there’s a 4 PM till 8 PM trip for fluke.
Monday night we have a Tuna trip leaving at 9 PM.
Our last tuna trip was a good one and we still have a few spots available for the Monday night departure .

Friday report
It was a beautiful day on the ocean today and we had a mixed bag for the catch.
We had a few mackerel, a couple of bluefish, decent catches of ling, and a Sea Bass limit for everyone. (Sea Bass limit is currently one per person.)
The pool winner was
Non Thach from Philadelphia Pa with a 3 1/2 pound Sea Bass
It looks good for tomorrow. The weather report is great for the weekend.
NIGHT FISHING TRIPS
We are also sailing at night for Ling and Bluefish at 7:30 PM on Friday night and Saturday night.
Last weekend we had good catches of ling. The weekend before we caught Blue Fish and Ling.
OFFSHORE TUNA
There’s space available on our offshore tuna trip sailing approximately 9 PM on Monday night July 22.
Our last Shore tuna trip was a good one.
We have also added two southern Canyon tile Fish looking for bigger tilefish.
The Jamaica will sail at 10 PM on August 6 and August 13.

Tuna Report 7/16/24
We had good action on our tuna trip that sailed Monday night.
Just after sunrise we saw whales, dolphin, tuna chicks and big readings of tuna and bait.
The area was loaded with sandeels.
We had shots at the Tuna on Jigs and a few bites on Bait. There were also some big bluefish in the area and a couple of bonito.
120g streaker Jigs of various brands, produced the most bites yesterday.
By the end of the trip we had our limits of under 47 inch bluefin tuna, a number of big blues, and a couple of Bonito.
Our next Tuna trip sails Monday, July 22 at 9 PM, and there is space available.
 
Southern Canyon tile Fish trips looking for a bigger tile are sailing 10 PM August 6, and 13th.

Tilefish Report 7-10-24
We had another very good Tile fish trip yesterday.
Everyone had an easy limit of Golden tile and we also caught a number of blueline tile.
The largest fish was a 25 pounder caught by Anthony DeMatteo from Brick, New Jersey.
We saw plenty of tuna on the surface throughout the day.
It looks good for our upcoming Tuna trips that start on July 15th.
We saw several schools of Tuna during the day but since we were tile fishing, we didn’t bother with them. That is, until a school popped up in front of the boat as we were making a move. We stopped and we hooked up three Bluefin, landing two.
Starting July 15, we will be making at least one tuna trip per week when we are not fishing for mackerel and blues.
Our next tilefish trip is scheduled for a 10PM departure on September 8th, and we may add another trip in August.

Another Good Day

Another good Day Today!
Fishing was good again today, everyone caught plenty of ling plus their Sea Bass.
The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail 7:30 AM tomorrow morning and we have plenty of space available.
 
We have a fireworks cruise sailing at 7:30 PM on July 4th and there is space available on that trip.
We are scheduled to sale at 7:30 AM every day right now now we are catching Ling and Seabass.

Brent Hoffman from Philadelphia. PA was a big Sea Bass.
Nitro for sale on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Normally we are fishing for blues at night but right now the link Fishing has been good and that’s what we will be doing. 7:30 PM until 1 AM.

Another good day catching Ling today.
We are looking for bluefish and mackerel every day however, we did not run into any on the way out, so we switched over to ling Fishing.
Fishing was good with everyone going home with a bunch of tasty fillets.
As of July 1 anglers are allowed to keep a Sea Bass along with everthing else they catch.
The pool winner was:
Farzad I from Malbern PA with a large ling.

This is a 26 hour trip
 
Our our last trip was excellent!
Everyone on board easily caught their limits of golden tile, and a number of passengers had their limit of blue line Tile.
Tile fish were caught on both Bait and Jigs, both worked a very well.
The pool winner was Jose Lozano from Perth Amboy, New Jersey
Tilefishing has been exceptional this season with limit catches, common.

Saturday report
We found some schools of bluefish offshore and jigged some for a while until that bite slowed down.
After that, we anchored and chummed and caught a good number of ling.
We saw some mackerel and bluefish come under the boat a few times, but they did not bite.
Everyone caught some Iing, the high Hook had 25
Friday Night Report
Fishing was slow last night, but anglers wound up with good catches of ling.
We have been anchoring and chumming at the Reef which is where we have been catching a few blues.
We have an anchoring over Rockpile so people are able to drop to the bottom and catch ling.

Very Good Tilefish Trip!
****Sailing Saturday 10PM 5/4***
Fishing was very good on the Tile fishing trip Wednesday.
Capt Dale reported they had a boat limit of Golden Tilefish up to 20 pounds.
It was a little slow first thing in the morning, but Fishing improved as the day went on. We continue to catch fish until it was time to head in.
We also caught one bluefin tuna .
The pool winner was:
Klayd Chernovsky from Brookhaven, PA with the 20 pound tile fish.
It looks good for our upcoming trips as the amount of dogfish was considerably less than on previous trips and, the size of the tile fish was much better.
OUR NEXT TILE TRIP is set to sail at 10 PM Saturday night, May 4
There is another trip scheduled for a May 11th departure and one for June 19

SATURDAY LING AND COD 7AM
Saturday the Jamaica will be fishing for ling and cod from 7 AM until 3 PM
