The 125' Jamaica
1 1/2-day tilefish trips, which gives you a huge amount of time at the rail! Fishing time on 1½-day trips is from sunrise to sunset. The trips will be limited to only 28 passengers.

• A limited number of sleeping bunks are available.
• There is also plenty of room in the common area cabin to sleep.
• We recommend you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow.
• Guest may start boarding up to 1 hour before the departure time
• Big Jamaica has a limited snack bar: chips, sodas, water, microwavable food, and NA drinks
• Guest can use our microwave
• No nautical GPS/Tracking. These Devices are prohibited.
• Rod rental NOT included (AN ADDITIONAL $40.00 WILL SECURE A ROD & REEL INCLUDING TACKLE) (6/0 Penn reel with 65lb. POWER PRO).

ait – squid, mackerel filet, bluefish, ect. (squid and mackerel are the best)

What to Bring

• You may bring a cooler, snacks, beverages of your choice. No Bottles, Cans only. NO hard alcohol permitted. Beer: no more than 1 six-pack per adult
• Ice is not provided and is available at the dock and tackle shop
• Protection from the weather (sunscreen, hat, glasses)

Recommended Fishing Tackle:
Rods and Reels:

6½ to 8-foot heavy duty rod with a single or two-speed conventional reel filled with approximately 400 yards of 50 to 80-lb. test braided line. We strongly suggest using braided line since we will be fishing in very deep water (up to 1,000 feet)

Tilefish Tackle:

4/0- 6/0 Reel or Equivalent, (preferably 6/0). Heavy Boat Road, 50 lb to 80 lb. Braided line or equivalent.

5//- 8/0 , or circle hooks

4/0-7/0 Bait Holder hooks, sinkers from 20 oz- 4 lbs. Fish on the bottom with a rig similar to a fluke rig or Hi-Lo Rig.

Fishing depths currently have been approximately from 350- 700'

Please bring cash for the Mate's Tip (not included in Fare price) and for Concessions/Ice for your cooler home, as there is no ATM on the boat or in the Basin.
