Experience a variety of fishing adventures all year long aboard Big Jamaica, catering to beginners, amateurs, and expert anglers.
From mid-May to early September, join our daily trips for Sea Bass. At that time we also have night Bluefishing trips - the best fighting fish on the East Coast. Pound for pound, they offer a thrill and fight that is unmatched in day or night trips.
Tuna fishing trips begin at the beginning of September, overlapping with Bluefish season. We run seven days a week through the fall out to the canyons for Yellowfin, Longfin, Bigeye, and Bluefin Tuna as well as Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, and Tilefish. These 22-hour & 30 hour trips provide access to some of the largest fish caught on rod and reel, giving even novice fishermen a chance to experience the thrill of a lifetime. We continue our Canyon Tuna trips until the end of November, depending on the fish’s migration pattern.
In November and December, when we’re not offshore Sea Bass fishing, we also sail for Striped Bass. Regularly check our “Schedule” for days and times.
Winter time takes us into the offshore wreck season, with trips starting in late November and running all winter long through the spring. These 18-hour excursions provide Cod, Pollock, Hake, and Jumbo Porgies in sizes and quantities not found on inshore wrecks with any regularity. Trips will typically sail four times a week, from December through April.
